(Published in The Norman Transcript September 23, 30, 2015, 1t) PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS RFP 1516-21 The City of Norman, Oklahoma is seeking proposals from qualified consultants for the preparation of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Norman. The current Norman 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan was approved in 2004 and after ten years no longer adequately addresses the growth challenges that the City of Norman is experiencing. The Comprehensive Plan will be an opportunity to assess current conditions and develop goals, objectives and policies to address growth issues and other planning elements such as resiliency, sustainability and healthy communities not previously considered in the Plan. The City of Norman will evaluate proposals based on the criteria listed in the RFP including project approach, project team, past project experience, project schedule and a public participation approach that utilizes the latest techniques and technologies to ensure robust public participation. Respondents should submit questions and/or clarifications to the City of Norman no later than 4:00 p.m. on October 14, 2015.
