DIVISION 00 - BIDDING REQUIREMENTS AND CONTRACT FORMS SECTION 00 11 13 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of: S. CLARK BLVD.&NEWMAN AVE. DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT Bids will be received by the Town of Clarksville, Indiana at the Wastewater Billing Office, Suite 136, Clarksville Town Hall, 2000 Broadway, Clarksville, IN 47129, Attn: Brittany Montgomery, at 10:00 AM (local time) on July 12, 2018, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bid opening will occur in the Town Hall Executive Conference Room. The proposed work consists of replacing and rehabilitating failing stormwater infrastructure beneath Newman Ave, Heritage Trail, Colgate Park, and S. Clark Boulevard. The S. Clark Boulevard roadway embankment will be stabilized along the east and west side of the roadway in the vicinity of Colgate Park. Fill will be placed along the Heritage Trail embankment along the eastern boundary of Colgate Park. Roadway improvements and asphalt resurfacing will be made on S. Clark Boulevard between Montgomery Avenue and Harrison Avenue. Electronic copy is available for an additional fee. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 PM (local time) on June 20, 2018, at the Clarksville Town Hall. Representatives of Clarksville and the Stantec (designer) will be present to discuss the project. Detailed technical questions may be submitted in writing, but technical questions will be answered, if warranted, by addenda later. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be legally binding. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All bids shall be Unit Price and shall be submitted in duplicate. State Board of Accountants Form No. 96, which is included in Section 004100 - Bid Form, shall be fully completed and executed in the manner required by law. An executed State Board of Accounts Form 96a, or similar document, shall also be submitted. Each Bidder must deposit, with their bid, security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders must comply with OSHA (P.C. 91-596) and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (P.E. 91-54). Small, Minority, and Women's Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids on this project. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This project will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Bidders shall assume that they have obtained complete sets of the Plans for Construction and Construction Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in Bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of Plans for Construction and Construction Documents.
