NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Concord Community Schools (the "School Corporation") that the Board of School Trustees (the "Board") of the School Corporation will meet at the Education Center, 59040 Minuteman Way, Elkhart, Indiana, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. (Local Time) on August 20, 2018, to consider the following additional appropriation which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time: An appropriation in the amount of $7,120,000 on account of the renovation of and improvements to Concord Intermediate School for the purpose of creating a virtual school (the "Virtual Project") and the renovation of and improvements to Concord High School to create a Health&Wellness Center (the "Health Project," collectively with the Virtual Project, the "Projects") in the School Corporation, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Concord Community Schools Building Corporation. The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities. Taxpayers of the School Corporation appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to the additional appropriation. Dated this 19th day of July, 2018.
