NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS AND ALL OTHER PERSONS AFFECTED OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE BETWEEN THE TOWN OF WHITESTOWN REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE TOWN OF WHITESTOWN REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION Interested persons are hereby notified that on August 6, 2018, the Town of Whitestown Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission") will hold a public hearing upon a proposed amendment to lease (the "Lease Amendment") to be entered into between the Town of Whitestown Redevelopment Authority (the "Authority"), as lessor, and the Commission, as lessee, which amends the Lease Agreement, dated June 25, 2014, between the Commission and the Authority (the "Lease Agreement", as amended by the Lease Amendment, the "Lease"), relating to the lease of certain real estate and municipal facilities located thereon to be improved by the Authority and leased to the Commission, including a new police station and fire truck. The Lease will also permit the Authority to refinance the outstanding Town of Whitestown (the "Town") Redevelopment District Bond Anticipation Notes, Series 2017. Lease rentals under the Lease will be payable from (i) COIT Funds (as defined in the Lease Agreement), (ii) $85,000 per year of real property tax increment revenues received by the Commission from the Maple Grove Allocation Area (the "Pledged TIF Revenues"), (iii) the public safety portion of the local income tax revenues received by the Town pursuant to Indiana Code 6-3.6-6, pledged by the Town to the Commission (the "Public Safety LIT Revenues"), and to the extent COIT Funds, Pledged TIF Revenues and Public Safety LIT Revenues are not sufficient, (iv) a special benefits tax levied and collected on all taxable property in the Town's Redevelopment District pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-14-27. The public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, at the Whitestown Municipal Complex-Public Hall, 6210 Veterans Drive, Whitestown, Indiana (the "Whitestown Municipal Complex"). All interested parties will be provided the opportunity be heard at the hearing. After the public hearing, which may be adjourned from time to time, the Commission may adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of the proposed Lease Amendment on behalf of the Town, if it finds that the service to be provided throughout the term of the proposed Lease will serve the public purposes of the Town and it is in the best of interests of the Town's residents and that the lease rental provided for is fair and reasonable.
