NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that on the 13th day of August, 2018 at 7:15 p.m. a public hearing will be held before the Lebanon City Council, being the governing body of the City of Lebanon, in the Municipal Building, 401 S. Meridian Street in the City of Lebanon, Indiana to receive and hear remonstrances and objections from all persons interested in or affected by the proposed 100% voluntary annexation. The proposed voluntary annexation consists of thirty-three (33) parcels totaling approximately 12.66 acres. The parcels to be annexed are known as Elmwood Subdivision located west of Elm Swamp Road on both sides of Elmwood Drive and adjacent to the existing corporate limits along the northern and eastern boundaries. The annexation territory is more particularly described as: Part of the South half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 19 North, Range 1 East in Boone County, Indiana described as follows: Commencing at a point 22.34 chains east of the northwest corner of said tract, and running thence south 1299 feet, thence east 445 feet to the center of the Elm Swamp gravel road, thence north 1 degree west 500 feet with the center line of said road, thence north 799 feet, thence west 420 feet to the point of beginning, containing 12.66 acres more or less. Said subdivision is divided into parcels or lots numbered 1 through 33, both numbers inclusive, and may be described by lot numbers or by metes and bounds as shown on the plat or by both. The beginning point for all lot descriptions shown on the plat shall be located with reference to a point 22.34 chains east of the northwest corner of the south half of the southwest quarter of Section 19, Township 19 North, Range 1 East in Boone County, Indiana. These parcels are proposed to be annexed into the City of Lebanon Corporate limits. Written remonstrances against the proposed annexation may be filed at any time before 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018, at the offices of the Planning&Zoning Department, 401 S. Meridian Street, Lebanon, Indiana. At the public hearing, the City Council will hear any person who has filed a written remonstrance during this filing period and receive and hear any remonstrances or objections from persons interested in or affected by the voluntary annexation.
