NOTICE OF BOND RESOLUTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution a summary of which is is published herewith has been adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Stamford, Delaware County, New York on the 16th day of June , 2015. Such resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum and the period of time has elapsed for the submission and filing of a petition for such referendum without a valid petition having been submitted and filed , and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Village of Stamford is not authorized to expend money, or the provisions of law which should have been compiled with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially compiled with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty (20) days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York. A resolution authorizing the issuance of serial bonds of the village of Stamford, Delaware County, New York in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $3,534,000 pursuant to the local finance law to finance certain improvements to the Village's water system and delegating the power to issue bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the sale of such bonds to the village treasurer. Object or purpose: certain improvements to the Village's water system, including replacement of approximately 13,000 linear feet of water mains, replacement of water storage tank and installation of water lines to bring water from the Kelly Well to the water treatment plant , at an estimated cost of $4,434,000. Period of Probable Usefulness: forty (40) years. Amount of Obligations to be issued: not to exceed $3,534,000. The balance of the cost of said purpose shall be paid from a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development in the amount of $750,000 and contributions to be made by the Village in the amount of $150,000.
