NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The
City of Lake Park
has tentatively adopted a 2018 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 2.16 percent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at City of Lake Park Civic Center, 120 N. Essa St., Lake Park, Ga. on August 21, 2018 at 6:00 pm.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Lake Park City Hall, 120 N. Essa St., Lake Park, Ga. on August 28, 2018 at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 7.552 mills, an increase of 0.16 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 7.392 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $5.44 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $125,000 is approximately $8.00.
