Congratulations to the
Mahaska County Friends of 4-H Scholarship Recipients!
Lexi De Jong is a 9-year 4-H member who recently graduated from Pella High School. She is a member of the M&M Peppy Pals 4-H Club, Teen Council, and State 4-H Council. Lexi is starting her freshman year at the University of Northern Iowa, where she will be studying Biomedical Sciences on a Pre-Medicine Track.
Lydia Denniston is a 9-year 4-H member who recently graduated from Oskaloosa High School. She is a member of the Teen Council. Lydia is starting her freshman year at Iowa State University, where she will be studying Veterinary Medicine with a specialization in cancer research.
Jacob Spears is a 9-year 4-H member who recently graduated from Oskaloosa High School. He is a member of the Spring Creek Achievers 4-H Club and Teen Council. Jacob is starting his freshman year at William Penn University, where he will be studying Industrial Technology. He will also be a member of the athletic, jazz, and concert bands at William Penn.
These graduates have each received a $1,000 scholarship. Funds were raised through the Oskaloosa Herald 4-H Spotlight Program. Thank you to all who participated in this program!
