(Published In THE TIMES, Mayes County, Oklahoma October 11, 2015) October 5, 2015 The Board of Mayes County Commissioners met in a regularly scheduled meeting with all members present: Ryan Ball, Chairman, Kevin Whiteside and Darrell Yoder, Members, and Brittany True-Howard, County Clerk. The initial notice of the meeting was received in writing December 15, 2014, and the agenda for this meeting was posted on the lower floor of the Court House at 4:30 p.m., October 1, 2015. Ryan Ball called the meeting to order in compliance with the Open Meeting Law and the following business was done: Commissioner Ball led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mike Dunham said the Invocation. Motion made by Commissioner Yoder, seconded by Commissioner Whiteside, to approve the minutes of September 28, 2015. Ball, Yes; Whiteside, Yes; Yoder, Yes. OLD BUSINESS: Motion made by Commissioner Yoder, seconded by Commissioner Ball, to approve the following Gold Field Services Utility Permit Requests: to place 1-1.25 HDPE & 1-144 fiber optic cable on E 550 RD including handholes and markers in the SW 1/4 of Section 10 T20N R19E; Place 2-1.50 HDPE Conduits& 1-144 fiber optic cable on N4320 RD including handholes & markers in the NW 1/4 of Section 5 T20N R19E; Place 2-1.50 HDPE conduits & 1-144 fiber optic cable on E 535 RD including handholes & markers in the NW 1/4 of Section 5 T20N R19E; Place 1-1.25 HDPE & 2-1.50 HDPE & 1-144 fiber optic cable on S 432 RD including handholes & markers in the W 1/2 of Section  31, T21N R19E; Place 1-1.25 HDPE & 2-1.50 HDPE conduits, handholes, markers & 1-144 fiber optic cable on E 520 RD of the S 1/2 of Sections 25, 26 & 27, T21N R18E & S 1/2 of Section 30, T21N R19E; Place 1-1.25 HDPE & 2-1.50 HDPE conduits & 1-144 fiber optic cable, handholes & markers on N4280 RD of the W 1/2 of Sections 15, 22, & 27, T21N R18E all in District 2 of Mayes County. NEW BUSINESS: Commissioner Ball acknowledged receipt of lawsuit by attorney Jean Walpole Coulter & Associates, Inc. asking for damages in excess of $10,000.00 each plus attorney’s fees, costs and expenses. No Action Taken. Assistant District Attorney Kali Strain advised she had sent it on to ACCO. Motion was made by Commissioner Ball, seconded by Commissioner Yoder, to approve the Court Clerk Monthly Reports. Ball, Yes; Whiteside, Yes; Yoder, Yes. Motion was made by Commissioner Yoder, seconded by Commissioner Ball, to approve revised 8 year CIRB Plan. Ball, Yes; Yoder, Yes; Whiteside, Yes. Patrick Shoopman with Guy Engineering was present to discuss them being one of the qualified Engineers for the Off System Bridge Inspections. He advised the Board there are 10 firms that have been selected. The Board will need to interview 3 then tell ODOT who they chose. The Commissioners will do this in a Commissioners meeting at another time. Motion was made by Commissioner Ball, seconded by Commissioner Whiteside, to approve a Correction Transfer of $31,111.03 from T-2A, M&O, and District 1 to be divided equally between the three districts in the CBRI Fund. Motion was made by Commissioner Ball, seconded by Commissioner Yoder, to approve Corrected Service Agreement between Stericycle Services and the Mayes County Jail. Motion was made by Commissioner Ball, seconded by Commissioner Yoder, to approve Resolution authorizing and approving the assessment of a fee on all civil cases filed in the District Court of Mayes County for the purpose of enhancing existing or providing additional security for the Mayes County Courthouse.
