NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Athens 1806 Wilkinson Street Athens, AL 35611 Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of CITY OF ATHENS FY 2014 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECT FOR THE EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER SERVICE TO CAST PRODUCTS, INC CDBG PROJECT NUMBER: LR-ED-PF-14-008 will be received by The City of Athens in the mayors conference room on the second floor of the Athens Utilities building located at 1806 Wilkinson Street, Athens, Alabama 35611 until 2:00pm on November 24, 2015. They will then be read aloud in the mayors conference room. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, BID, Agreement, GENERAL CONDITIONS, NOTICE OF AWARD, NOTICE TO PROCEED, CHANGE ORDER, DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS and ADDENDA, if any, may be examined at the office of Morell Engineering, Inc. located at 711 East Hobbs Street, Athens, Alabama 35611. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Morell Engineering, 711 East Hobbs Street, Athens, Alabama. Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, and certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. A certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Athens in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but with a maximum of $10,000 must accompany the BID. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. Attention is called to the CONTRACTORS ALABAMA LICENSE LAW, Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended.
