Oklahoma Department of Environment Quality Tier II Notice of Filing Public Notice EPA/ODEQ Application No. OK0000647 Notice is hereby given that Western Farmers Electric Cooperative has filed an application with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) to renew a permit to discharge industrial wastewater from their Mooreland plant located in the SW ¼ of Section 27, Township 23N, Range 19W, Woodward County, Oklahoma, or at the intersection of Hwy 412 & Hwy 50, Mooreland, Oklahoma, 73852 The proposed Outfall 001 discharge, which will consist of cooling tower blowdown, boiler blowdown, demineralizer waste, auxiliary cooling water, and stormwater runoff, will be to the North Canadian River. Outfall 001 discharge is located in the SW ¼, SW ¼ of Section 27, Township 23N, Range 19W, Woodward, Oklahoma. The application may be reviewed at the Woodward Public Library, 15th and Main Avenue, Woodward, OK 73801. The review period will last 30 days from the published date of this application. After reviewing the application, ODEQ will prepare either a draft permit or draft denial. At that time, notice of the prepared draft will be made by ODEQ and the public will be given the opportunity to review it, submit written comments, or request a public meeting within thirty days. The permit, if issued would espablish effluent limitations and guidelines for the operation of the industrial wastewater discharge.
