CONSTRUCTION ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION FOR BIDS The City of Graford will receive bids for Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Rebid until 3:00 PM on January 5, 2016 at 424 E. Lee Avenue, Graford, Texas 76449. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 PM on January 5, 2016 at 424 E. Lee Avenue, Graford, Texas 76449. Bids are invited for the work as follows: The project consists of earthwork to repair the embankments on the City's three wastewater treatment ponds, furnishing and installing a sludge removal system, furnishing and installing floating aeration units on the facultative pond, furnishing and installing an ultrasonic meter in the outlet structure, repairing two existing pond outlet structures, replacing two pumps at the City's main lift station, re-leveling and backfilling around the existing main lift station concrete slab, and furnishing and installing a SCADA System at the lift station and at the wastewater treatment plant. The project also consists of a Deductible Alternate for furnishing and installing a sludge removal system, furnishing and installing an ultrasonic meter in the outlet structure, repairing the two existing pond outlet structures, the SCADA System, and re-leveling and backfilling around the existing main lift station slab. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at Jacob & Martin, LLC., 1508 Santa Fe Drive, Suite 203, Weatherford, Texas 76086 (817-594-9880). Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents must be ordered online at www.jacobmartin.com. Orders for Contract Documents may include hard copies for pick up, mail out or digital download via www.jacobmartin.com. Upon verification of online payment, hard copies may be picked up at Jacob & Martin, LLC., located at 1508 Santa Fe Drive, Suite 203, Weatherford, TX 76086. Cost for hard copies of the Contract Documents will be $50.00 for half size and $75.00 for full size plans. Cost for digital download of Contract Documents will be $20.00. Contractors must purchase a set of Contract Documents to be considered a registered plan holder eligible to bid the project. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Graford or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The City of Graford reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Graford for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award.
