(First Published January 20, 2016) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS There will be public hearings at 1501 S. Duquesne, Joplin, Missouri, commencing at 7:05 P.M., on February 4, 2016 before the City of Duquesne Planning and Zoning Commission, and commencing at 7:05 P.M. on February 8, 2016 before the Board of Aldermen, to consider the following: To rezone the property located at 3857 E. 20th Street, in the City of Duquesne, Missouri from R-1 to C-2. The legal description of the property to be rezoned is as follows: All of the West Half of the following: Beginning at a point 903.03 feet West of the Southeast Corner of Section 7, Township 27, Range 32, Jasper County, Missouri; thence North 466.68 feet, thence East 436.35 feet; thence South 466.68 feet; thence West 436.35 feet to the point of beginning; Except the South 30 feet for roadway purposes, and except any part taken or deeded for road purposes. A proposed Ordinance vacating the old 10th Street right-of-way described as follows: All that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 27, Range 32, in the Village of Duquesne, Jasper County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot Numbered Twelve (12) in LECKIE'S SUBDIVISION, now in the Village of Duquesne; thence East along the South line of said Lot 12 a distance of 200 feet to the Southeast corner of said Lot 12; thence South along the East line of said Lot 12 if extended 40 feet to the North line of 10th Street as Platted in Leckie's 2nd Subdivision, now in the Village of Duquesne; thence West 200 feet along the said North line of 10th Street to a point 40 feet South of the said Northwest of Lot 12; thence North 40 feet to the point of beginning. All interested members of the public are invited to attend the public hearings.
