LEGAL NOTICE (1) An Appeal has been filed by Jay Krull, Case No. 2077, to install a driveway on the east side of the vacant parcel located at 73 Lakeview Parkway, Lockport, New York, situated in an R-1 Zone. Approval of the application was denied or withheld because the driveway will be located on a vacant parcel in an R-1 Zone. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lockport, New York, Section 190-19 states that other customary accessory uses and buildings provided that such are incidental to the principal use and do not include any activity commonly conducted as a business. Any accessory building or use shall be located on the same lot with the principal building. (2) An Appeal has been filed by Michael Simeister, Case No. 2079, to erect a 16' x 20' carport at the property located at 44 Franklin Avenue, Lockport, New York, situated in an R-1 Zone. Approval of the application was denied or withheld because the carport will be located 3.24' from the north property line and 1' from the existing detached garage. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lockport, New York, requires a minimum 5' setback for an accessory structure in an R-1 Zone. (3) An Appeal has been filed by James Randall, Case No. 2080, to remove the existing picket fence on the north side of the property and replace it with a 6' vinyl fence located at 14 Lindhurst Drive, Lockport, New York, situated in an R-1 Zone. Approval of the application was denied or withheld because the fence will be located 3.4' from the north property line. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lockport, New York, requires the side yard setback for corner lots to be no less than one-half the required minimum front yard setback. (4) An Appeal has been filed by Lockport Community Television, Case No. 2081, to erect a 32' x 40' commercial vehicle storage building at the property located a 271 Niagara Street, Lockport, New York situated in an R-2 Zone. Approval of the application was denied or withheld because the proposed use is for commercial storage in an R-2 Zone. The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lockport, New York, allows single and two family homes in an R-2 Zone. For the purpose of hearing all persons wishing to support or oppose the granting of said Appeal, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on July 28, 2015, at 6:00 P.M. at the Lockport Municipal Building, One Locks Plaza, Lockport, New York.
