STATE OF TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SOLICITATION FOR DEMOLITION BIDS Sealed bids will be accepted for the removal of the following improvements within the Right-Of-Way of Federal Project Number STP-101(16) State Project Number 18038-2237-14 Cumberland County, Tennessee. Sealed bids will be opened on site beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 03, 2015. Tract No. 3 Address: 2529 Peavine Road Crossville, TN 38571 Description: Remove block building. Clean up all concrete, wood and debris. Backfill to mowable grade level. Tract No. 32 Address: 3226 Peavine Road Crossville, TN 38571 Description: Remove frame residence. Clean up all concrete, wood and debris. Backfill to mowable grade level. Tract No. 58 Address: 3727 Peavine Road Crossville, TN 38571 Description: Remove frame building with basement. Remove all concrete and debris. Backfill to mowable grade level. Tract No. 74 Address: 4561 Peavine Road Crossville, TN 38571 Description: Remove frame/ rock. Clean up all concrete and debris. Backfill to mowable grade level. All tracts are to be bid as a separate contract. ALL TRACTS ARE TO BE SEEDED WITH KENTUCKY FESCUE 31, STRAWED AND FERTILIZED. The successful bidder will comply with the provisions of the Executive Order No. 37 concerning private enterprise transacting business with Tennessee State government in order to prevent and eliminate discriminatory practices from employment because of national origin, race, sex, or age. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all State laws and local ordinances to remove said improvements, salvage and debris, and to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and with Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21, Department of Transportation. The successful bidder must agree to indemnify and save the State harmless from all losses, damages, and expenses in accordance with the terms of agreement for the removal of the improvements. An updated certificate of insurance for liability must be furnished to the State and a copy of a state driver license before the successful bid can be awarded. All out of state bidders must also furnish a copy of their birth certificate. ** With the exception of block, brick&concrete, all materials are to be properly disposed of in a permitted landfill. Payment will not be ordered until manifests/receipts from a legally permitted landfill are furnished to TDOT. IN ADDITION: Successful bidder will be responsible for 1) compliance with all applicable environmental safeguards including (but not limited to) placement of all necessary erosion controls during demolition and 2) locating and disconnecting all utilities prior to beginning work. THE USE OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN PERFORMANCE OF ANY CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF TENNESSEE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. The successful bidder shall enter into an agreement to remove said improvements to ground level by November 17, 2015. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the decision of the Property Management Office will be final. Evaluation proceedings will be conducted within the established guidelines regarding equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory action based upon the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, creed, age, and disability.
