CD-201504779 (Published in the Saturday edition of The Duncan Banner, October 3, 2015-1 time) BEFORE THE CORPORATION COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA APPLICANT: CONTINENTAL RESOURCES, INC. RELIEF SOUGHT:   LOCATION EXCEPTION LANDS COVERED: SECTIONS 6 AND 7, TOWNSHIP 2 NORTH, RANGE 4 WEST, STEPHENS COUNTY, OKLAHOMA CAUSE CD NO.  201504779 NOTICE OF HEARING STATE OF OKLAHOMA TO: All persons, owners, producers, operators, and takers of oil and gas, and all other interested persons, particularly in Stephens, Oklahoma. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Applicant, Continental Resources, Inc., has filed an application in this cause requesting the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma to enter an order, to be effective as of the date of the execution thereof or as of a date prior thereto, as follows:  (i) authorizing and permitting an exception to the permitted well location tolerances in the 640-acre drilling and spacing units formed in Sections 6 & 7-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma, for the Sycamore, Woodford and Hunton common sources, so as to allow, in part, a well, being a proposed multiunit  horizontal well, to be drilled at the following location: Surface Location: no closer than 200 feet from the north line and no closer than 2,132 feet from the west line of Section 6-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma Section 6-2N-4W: first perforation: no closer than 150 feet from the north line and no closer than 330 feet from the west line of Section 6-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma last perforation:  no closer than 0 feet from the south line and no closer than 330 feet from the west line of Section 6-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma Section 7-2N-4W: first perforation: no closer than 0 feet from the north line and no closer than 330 feet from the west line of Section 7-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma last perforation:  no closer than 150 feet from the south line and no closer than 330 feet from the west line of Section 7-2N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma and to complete such multiunit horizontal well in and to produce hydrocarbons from the separate common sources of supply involved herein. Applicant intends to run casing in the horizontal portion or lateral of the borehole of the multiunit horizontal well involved herein and to cement such casing so as to cover and isolate the first and last perforations in such horizontal portion or lateral. In addition, Rule 165:10-3-28 provides that no horizontal well shall be closer than 600 feet to an existing wellbore.  The Applicants proposed location could potentially be as close as 500 feet to an existing wellbore.  Applicant further requests as part of this location exception an exception to Rule 165:10-3-28. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the application in this cause requests that the order to be entered in this matter be made effective as  of the date of the execution thereof or as of a date prior thereto and that the authorization and permission requested herein run in favor of Applicant. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the "land sections adjacent to the area within the location exception" requested herein in said Sections 6 and 7  in regard to the subsurface location tolerance areas described above are Sections 1, 12, 13 & 18-2N-4W, Section 36-3N-3W and Section 31-3N-4W, Stephens County, Oklahoma.  Continental Resources, Inc. operates the Dufort 1-1H well in Section 1-2N-5W, which produces from the Woodford common source of supply.  Vitruvian Exploration, LLC operates the Snodgrass 1-12H well in Section 13-2N-5W which produces from the Woodford common source of supply.  Vitruvian Exploration, LLC operates the Turner Trust 1-12H, Turner Trust 2-12H, Turner Trust 3-12H, Gassius A 1-12 and Ledbetter 1-12 wells in Section 12-2N-5W, which produces from the Woodford common source of supply.  Marathon Oil Company operates the Anderson 1-13 and Snodgrass 2-12H wells in Section 13-2N-5W which produce from the Woodford common source of supply.  Newfield Exploration Company operates the Jo Ann 1H-18 well which produces from the Woodford common source of supply.  Continental Resources, Inc. operates the Charles 1-36H well in Section 36-3N-5W which produces from the Woodford common source of supply.  Continental Resources, Inc. operates the RCL 1-31H well in Section 31-3N-4W which produces from the Woodford common source of supply. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this cause is set before an administrative law judge for hearing, taking of evidence and reporting to the Corporation Commission of Oklahoma. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this cause is set for hearing before an administrative law judge on the Conservation Docket at the Western Regional Service Office of the Corporation Commission, Jim Thorpe Building, 2101 North Lincoln Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at 8:30 A.M. on the 26th day of October, 2015, and that this notice be published as required by law and the rules of the Commission. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that Applicant and interested parties may present testimony by telephone. The cost of telephonic communication shall be paid by the person or persons requesting its use. Interested parties who wish to participate by telephone shall contact Applicant or Applicant's attorney, prior to the hearing date, and provide their names and telephone numbers.
